As someone who over the years has reached burnout on a number of occasions, self-care is an essential part of my daily life.
Self care comes in many forms, for some it’s a hot bath, meditation, a walk in the woods or around the local reservoir, for others it might be a night out with the girls, baking a cake, a shopping trip or a session in the gym – what you do for self care isn’t important, what is important is that you prioritise it … that you prioritise YOURSELF!
Today my self care is listening to 80’s pop music and writing powerful affirmations to help me create a reality that supports my goals!
Below I have shared with you my new affirmations and explained why I have chosen them:
- I control how I feel – I can change my state in an instant.
I feel I am being led by emotion, I am being reactive and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, this affirmation reminds me that I am in control of how I feel – no one, not one single person has the power to hurt, embarrass or anger me unless I give them the power.
- Nothing tastes as good as being healthy and fit feels.
When I am tired and emotional I can easily slip into over eating sugary foods for the energy boost, this affirmation keeps me vibrating on a positive ‘health’ energy.
- I go the extra mile and nothing is out of my reach
A simple reminder that I can achieve anything
- For me, money is limitless and easy to create
I never ever want my work to be ‘about the money’ so I often use positive affirmations surrounding this, my thought process is that if money comes to me easily, I’ll never have to chase it.
- My relationships are open, honest and full of abundance
Of late I have come to see some of the relationships in my life weren’t completely honest and were in-fact for the sole purpose of gaining something from me – I am glad I have seen these relationships for what they were and now I am affirming only genuine relationships whereby both parties gain equally.
- I love myself deeply and unconditionally
A reminder that no matter what mistakes I make, what jobs I don’t complete, which parts of my body aren’t perfect – I am still me and I am amazing!
