Iv chosen to write this blog as I am experiencing a rapidly growing number of people who are finding this period of lockdown more difficult that the previous two, when you dig down it really does stand to reason.
Lockdown one we had fantastic weather, the hope this would be short term and a huge sense of community with people coming together to support neighbours, the NHS and people acknowledging the efforts of workers who in large were previously over looked.
Lockdown 2 came with the promise that if we followed the rules we could safely spend Christmas with our loved ones, people we putting up the decorations early and we had the big day to look forward too.
Fast forward to now and we have miserable weather, children that are climbing the walls, people at loggerheads over vaccines, no idea when this will end and for a lot of people the financial burden is becoming a big problem.
So, what can we do to make this period a little easier? How can we reposition this into something we can look back and be thankful for?
As someone who lives by the Law of Attraction I believe that what we think and speak about we attract into our lives, with that in mind I spend the majority of my time being positive. Whilst I too have found the lockdown difficult its fair to say that I have also experienced lots of positives – especially in terms of business growth. Im not bragging, I simply want to give a living breathing example of how difficult times don’t have to be all negative if you can just change the way you think.
Some of the positives I find helpful when Im having a bad day are:
The huge surge in awareness surrounding mental health.
The amazing communities forming online, supporting each other and sharing common interests.
The amount of people supporting food banks and other charities.
The rapid growth of people awakening spiritually.
The amount of people studying, growing their skills and focusing on self development.
There are so many more I could list but what is really important is what positives YOU can take from this situation. Write a list, take time to feel the emotions around each positive and then write thank alongside each one. A grateful heart will always be a happy heart. When you are finished your list, take a moment to notice how your mood/energy has changed, we cannot always change the situation but we can control how we react.
Together we will get through this, together we will learn and grow from all we have experienced and together we will create a new ‘normal’. If you would like to join a positive and uplifting online community, search ‘Awaken with Amy’ on Facebook.
Stay Safe and keep smiling.
