TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following policies care for the safety of both you and your therapist. Exceptions cannot be made, but please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.

COVID-19

Every precaution has been taken to make it possible for you to safely attend and enjoy your appointment. If you have any questions about the steps taken to ensure your safety, feel free to enquire.

When booking your appointment, please consider the following guidance to assess your suitability to have a treatment at this time. If you are unwell, symptomatic, or have been in contact with someone who is, it is imperative that you do not book an appointment. It is not possible to perform a treatment on anyone who is shielding.

Upon arrival, you will be required to wear a face covering and to use hand sanitiser or wash your hands. Your face covering must remain on during the consultation and treatment if it is possible for you to do so, medical exemptions apply.

The appropriate PPE, consisting of a face mask and visor will be worn by your therapist at all times. Appointment lengths will be kept to their pre-booked time slot, to allow maximum time for cleaning around treatments. Please arrive at your appointment time as it will not be possible to accommodate early arrivals.

If you develop any symptoms between booking and attending your appointment, you must reschedule. Should you be symptomatic upon arrival for your appointment, you will be required to leave and the full appointment fee will be payable, as per the cancellation policy below.

BOOKING

Treatments are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis via the online booking system. If you cannot see the appointment you would like available, please check the availability of another therapist. By booking your appointment, you agree to the terms of service and privacy statement outlined on this website.

PAYMENT

Payment can be accepted in part or full at the time of booking. A 25% deposit is required for all bookings. You can pay any outstanding balance via cash or instant transfer at your appointment.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are redeemable using their coupon code at the time of booking. Coupon codes are valid for a single use, to be redeemed in full or towards a treatment of higher value. All gift vouchers are non-refundable and have a 12 month expiry from date of purchase.

CANCELLATION

Deposits taken at the time of booking secure your appointment, deposits are refundable with 48 hrs notice. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice to allow your slot to be filled. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less notice, or reschedule the same appointment more than once, 50% of the appointment fee will be payable. Missed appointments will be charged in full.

LATENESS

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Should you arrive earlier, it will not be possible to accommodate you. Your appointment length comprises a consultation, treatment and aftercare. In the instance of lateness, your appointment will not be extended. If there is not enough time remaining to carry out your treatment, you may be offered a shorter treatment or for your appointment to be rescheduled, as per the cancellation policy above. Should you wish to have a shorter appointment for lateness or any other reason, the cost of the pre-booked appointment will be payable.

ILLNESS

If you become ill with cough, cold, flu, or other, please reschedule your appointment. It is essential that illness is not spread between a client and therapist, to ensure that all other clients will have a clean and safe environment. Should you arrive for your appointment whilst unwell, you will be asked to reschedule, as per the cancellation policy above.

APPROPRIATE CONDUCT

Upwood Healing and Mediumship has the right to refuse to treat any client without explanation. Integrated safety features are installed on the property to protect the business and employees. Inappropriate behaviour including but not limited to aggressive or sexual misconduct will not be tolerated and will be reported. If ordered to leave, you will be prohibited from returning or contacting Upwood Healing and Mediumship. No refunds will be given.

CHILDREN

Jane has experience in treating Children. Under the age of 16, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the consultation and must remain in the room for the duration of the treatment.

ACCESSIBILITY

Some health conditions can prevent treatment from happening when it would put the client or therapist at risk, or may require a GP’s consent to proceed.

Upwood Healing & Mediumship requires you to do the following tasks either independently or with help from a carer:

  • Enter the Lodge via a step onto the decking
  • Complete a consultation form providing accurate medical details

  • Get on and off the massage couch (We have a mechanical couch so climbing is not nesacary
  • Turn over during your treatment

 If any condition may affect your treatment or require you to have assistance, please mention this at the time of booking.
